Vikki has whakapapa (genealogy) links to both the tribes of Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Ngāti Kahungunu. Vikki has two sons, one mokopuna (grandson) and her background and passion has always been in the area of Māori public health, community development which has evolved to include co-design and systems thinking. She is a strong believer in making a difference and is always determined to strive to influence and change systems to support Māori whānau to flourish.
