Community Housing Aotearoa and Housing First Auckland in partnership with Ministry of Social Development (MSD) invite you to attend a series of online training workshops for practitioners working in the housing and homelessness sector.

Session 1: Public Housing Assessment, 8th September 9:00am – 10:30am
This session provides an overview of how the priority rating is assessed, bedroom allocation and how letting areas impact on a person’s ability to be matched.

Once registered you will receive a confirmation email. Closer to the date of the workshop(s) you will receive another email with your unique online access details.

Session 2: Work and Income 101, 29 September – 9:30-10.30am
An overview of benefits, supplements and hardship payments

Session 3: Emergency Housing, 20 October – 9:30-10.30am
Emergency housing, including pathways to alternative accommodation, contributions, and supports.

Session 4: Products and services to support private rental, 30 November – 9:30-10.30am
Products and services to support private rentals including rent arrears, bonds, supplements and sustaining tenancies.

We are trialing this training series in the Auckland region with the content being delivered by Auckland based MSD staff. However, the information is generic and relevant to all practitioners across Aotearoa. We encourage you to share this invitation with other practitioners inside and outside of your organisation and across your broader networks.
